Yep, it's still global warming.

Weather patterns are a cause and effect type of thing. Jet streams, storms, high and low pressure systems, wind all affect the weather.

The warming of the earth's surface temperature will create an imbalance that will affect different weather phenomena in different ways. The theory is that we will begin to see more extremes. Extreme hot and extreme cold, but with general trends toward more warming.

That cold Toronto winter could result in an unseasonably warm summer in Alaska depending on how the wind blows.

I agree that global warming can be happening even if examples occur that represent record lows. But I have yet to see any reason to uniformly reject the sincerity and authenticity of credentialed scientists who either doubt global warming, or its contribution by human actions.

I accept US citizens who look into the matter and decide that global warming has begun, that humans have caused it, and that they and even our govt should adopt policies to reduce carbon emissions. However, I oppose most such govt actions, and any efforts of such people to automatically reject opinions contrary to their own.
