Black Durham Residents Turn on Nifong, Magnum

"The African-American community of Durham wants fairness, and the view is that if Mr. Nifong was not fair in this case, what's he going to be like in other cases?" said Floyd McKissick, a prominent African-American lawyer who is chairman of the Durham Democratic Party and a Duke Law School graduate.

My position was to wait and see how everything turned out. With the sketchy details in the beginning, the nature of the suspects, the victim and the crime all said to me that a rush to judgement on either side would be a mistake.

I stand by that position. And it ain't over yet...
