The Republican party is the "party of and for the rich": people who vote repo have higher average incomes and wealth. Surely no non-wealthy people would support and benefit from "tax cuts for the wealthy." Liberals care more: they give more of their money -- absolutely, and as fractions of their wealth and income -- and of their volunteer time. Surely people who oppose privatized social security and advocate mandatory "minimum wages" and "price ceilings" during natural disasters would donate more of their time and money to charity, because these views indicate "caring" more for others.
Are any of these statements true?
