Venezuela proposes 'Bank of the South'
I assume you guys are opposed to this Venezuelan embrace of capitalism because you oppose Chavez. Is that correct?

The only thing that I know about Chavez that I dislike is his embrace of socialism. Paying his nation's debt to the IMF, and creating a competing bank are two moves that I whole-heartedly endorse, with no reservations.
The WSJ has a slightly different, less optimistic view of Chavez:
