Auto Dealers and Real Estate Agents use political influence to prevent consumers from buying their goods via the internet. This keeps these goods from benefitting from the lower prices that the internet has bestowed on many other products.

Pete! This is a breakthrough in our relationship! You finally posted an article that I agree with 100%!
Let's get married!
Ugh. I'd better take it down immediatley then!
Nobody can disagree with the claim that real estate agents and car dealers are degenerate, ignorant, leaches whose only value to society ended when the internet manifested. Republicans should logically lead the fight to stop these idiots from keeping consumers and producers away from each other. We must hold the repos responsible for preaching free markets, but permitting these free market violations to exist.
Republicans aren't interested in creating a truly "free" or "fair" market. They are interested in making money and maintaining power by any means necessary.
Car dealers and real estate agents are very wealthy groups, so I doubt they will be going anywhere any time soon - at least not due to any legislation that may hamper those businesses. A few coins in the Republican coffers should do the trick.
Nadir: I agree that the repos let us down when it comes to establishing free and fair markets, though I believe they do a better job then the dems. When it comes to the specific cases of protecting real estate agents and auto dealers, I have little faith that they will lead those markets to freedom. They are naked and deplorable hypocrites in this case, an embarrassment to their supporters.
