Police Brutality

Here's the info on that guy in New Orleans who got beaten severly by New Orleans police.

Those of us who are serious about eliminating police brutality must either remove the charge of "racism" from it, or produce statistics demonstrating that police brutality is largely confined to white cops beating black citizens. I predict that such statistics do not exist: white cops and black cops both beat the crap out of people who don't cooperate with them. This includes totally innocent, or relatively innoccent citizens who express outrage when an overly zealous cop starts acting like a puffed-up Barney Fife. But of course it also include criminals like Rodney King who flee from cops on dangerous high-speed escape attempts. I am 100% certain that there are white criminals who would also have ran the same way that King did, and that a white criminal who got caught after such a chase would have been just as likely to get beaten, weather the cops were black or white.

However, I suspect that only white-on-black cases get any publicity. To get serious about eliminating police brutality, we must get serious about accurately portraying the problem. By segmenting the problem, we only get a fraction of the support for our cause.

I'm glad that the victim here has stated that he doesn't think that his beating resulted from racism. This will help him get much-deserved support from people who are otherwise accustomed to hearing "racism" affixed to actions that they know are not racist. Afterall, these same officers assaulted the white TV producer. No, they didn't beat him, but I think he has not his race to thank for that, but rather his press credentials, and the fact that his cop assaliant by this time knew that everthing was being filmed.

They victim' story sounds very credible. He approached a cop to ask a question, and a second cop gave him the old, "Sir, move along" rutine that cops so often do. Then the guy stood up for himself, accusing the second cop of being rude, and walked off. At this point that cop grabbed him from behind.

In other words, the victim here treated the cop the way that he would have treated a non-cop, and the cop beat the hell out of the guy for not displaying deference. Then another cop joined in. Basically, these cops were acting like they belonged to a street gang. I am 100% certain that they would have done the same thing to a cracker... and that some black cops have recently done the same thing.

Paul, everything isn't a racial issue. Berating blacks for saying that the pigs unjustifiably target blacks (which they do) doesn't help to prove your point that this particular instance wasn't about race.

The man has stated that it isn't about race. It was publicized because it was videotaped. If it had been white cops beating a white dude or black cops beating a black dude and it was videotaped, it would have received all the publicity it has received.

The real issue is that the pigs are pigs. It doesn't matter if you're black or white. If you happen to cross one of the many cops who has a chip on their shoulder the size of a 9mm, you will be harrassed. This is the American way.

Nadir: Have you ever seen a televised video tape of black cops beating *anyone*? Have you haver seen such a tape of white cops beating any non-whites? Neither have I. I cannot believe either that (1) the only cop beatings are white-on-black; or that (2) only white-on-black cop beatings get video taped. Thus I must conclude that media employees only publicize white-on-black beatings.

Rare exceptions include the Dearborn mall beating death of a black shop lifter by black security guards (specifically: a man who had a pack of teens shoplifting for him). But that when the national publicity began on that incident, local black radio personalities had already assumed and declared that the guards were white. When the facts came out a few days later (after Al Sharpton and Jesse you-know-who already had scheduled a rally), the race-baiters shifted their story to: white racists are so vile, they even have blacks killing blacks!

Furthermore, it does not matter that this new victim has the good sense to declare that this incident is non-racial. The media reps have demonstrated that they only care about white-on-black police beatings, and they began their publicity prior to the victim making his sensible declaration. Had he been white, or the cops black, his words wouldn't even have made it to the press. And what if he had taken the usual tack, screaming racism? Would you disagree with him?

Perhaps the media reps only publicize the white-on-black beatings because they know that this will inspire the most outrage, thanks to the professional race-baiters. If the media agents broadcast a black-on-white or black-on-black beating, who is going to complain? The same people who complain when a flood strikes white folks and the feds get there in five days: NOBODY.

It's one thing for you to claim that pigs unjustifiably target blacks, but it's another thing to prove it. Black men (7% of the US population) commit at least five times their share of the street crime in the US; for murder it is about 8 times!). Would you like police to cut down on their patrols of black neighborhoods?

This guy has made a wise move. By being accurate and rational, he will win support from all quarters, including whites, who are tired of getting unjustly called racist all the time, and who lose sympathy for people who make these inaccurate accusations. This case might finally help average people of all catagories to realize that there is a strong tendancy of US cops to act like violent assholes.

Here, finally, is a story about some white guys who got brutalized by the police. This story is getting very little attention, and I just stumbled upon it. The articles do not mention the race of the victims or the cops, but a radio interview that I heard convince me that the victims are honkies.

As long as police brutality exists, blacks will get brutalized along with everybody else; as long as only the white-on-black brutality gets publicity, and as long as it is blamed on "racism", I forsee no effective campaign against it.
