Some Leadership

McKinney Supporters Hate Jews

Supporters of Cynthia McKinney (Moonbat - Ga.) were in a foul mood when she lost the election, and showed it with openly antisemitic remarks.

Nice.

Your right-wing establishment has come out in force to attack McKinney because she has fearlessly raised real issues even when it was against her own personal political interest. Those of us who support her are angered by media and political attacks against her when all she has done is stand up for what is right.

Her supporters in Atlanta are most angered by this, and many see the Jews as the community that has attacked her most openly. AIPAC has spent a lot of money to unseat her, so these charges are true. The Jews led the charge to remove her from office. This isn't anti-semitic. This is fact.

This Faux News story is provocative, and uses language designed to malign McKinney and to rub the loss in her face. It proves once again that Faux News is an editorial service that pretends to broadcast the news, but actually is a propaganda machine for right-wing political causes.

Your characterization of her as a "moonbat" is phucked up. All she has done in over a dozen years of public service is stand up for her constituents and do what she thinks is right. You have no respect for true political discourse. Once again, you trumpet the party line and go along with the knuckleheads who tell you who you should like and who you shouldn't.

That's what's nice.

I don't condone threats, but the press has been attacking McKinney for years. They are bullies, and their cameras only point one direction. No one sees the acts that reporters use to provoke their subjects.

Nadir: Why do you label as "party line" anything that Six and I espouse with which you disagree?

Your conclusions about Fox News indicates to me that you rarely watch it. I watch all the cable news channels every day and rate it no more slanted than the other channels. All the channels, including Fox, report only negative stories from Iraq. All of them, including Fox, have their news readers say things like, "the proposed tax cut will cost X dollars" or "an expensive tax cut proposal", when tax cuts in the US since the 1950s (taxes got high and complicated in the '40s) have all led to increased govt tax revenues. The biggest unfair slant to the right I can find on Fox is the US flag that waves on the side of the screen. I am most curious, Nadir, for solid examples of unfair bias to the right from Fox.

Six doesn't need a party line to parrot to conclude on his own that McKinney is a nut. I respect her for taking clear positions, as I expressed before. But she called that incident with the cop an incident of "racial profiling", when clearly it was an incident of hot-temperedness and aloofness on her part. She also made comments about 911 that most Americans would find kooky without waiting to a memo from Carl Rove.

As far as "respecting true political discourse," Nadir, I don't see how you posess any more of that than Six. People on the right who are just as clear and honest in their views as McKinney, but who take opposite positions, get from you zero respect, name calling ("Faux News" just one example), and declarations about their negative motives.

One thing that Fox News has done that I applaud is bring into the news cylce information that would get ommitted from the other networks, all of which have slants to the left.

I agree with Nadir about the obscenity of reporters, sticking cameras and microphones into people's faces. However, 99% of other politicians are able to handle this without physical attacks and cursing.

Overall, I think that McKinney did a great job of reprenting leftist politics, save for the "racial profiling"/police incident (although even there, I suppose that might even qualify as a great job of reprenting leftist politics). Her constituents might not be as leftist as she is, though.

Precisely. I still think she's a nut though.
