Republican leaders, preparing a strategy for several critical elections this year, are expanding their outreach efforts to black voters by offering a two-day training session for minorities interested in running for public office, becoming political advisors or facilitating GOP campaigns.
This is something the Democrats should have been doing for the past 40 years...

In Maryland, for example, Democrats say black voter loyalty to the state Democratic Party is no longer a certainty.
"We might be the last generation of unabashed loyalists to the Democratic Party," state Senate Majority Leader Nathaniel J. McFadden of Baltimore told The Washington Times. "The Democratic Party is no longer a monolith for the African-American community."

School vouchers, low flat taxes, individual SS savings accounts, a much higher fraction of blacks support these issues than their approximately 10% repo voting indicates. Maybe these new black repos will save the party from the big-spenders who are ruining it.
On the negative side, these gains might be married with bans on flag burning and abortions, plus increased inclusion of religion in govt.
