First-time Activists Lead the Way at D.C. Drive Out Bush Protest

Why would anyone want to leave Michigan’s party of the century – Super Bowl XL Weekend – and take a 10-hour bus ride to Washington D.C. to march in the rain? It seems this question never occurred to roughly four-dozen Michigan activists who traveled to the nation’s capitol for a protest at the White House on February 4.

I sincerely hope that Homeland Security has an eye on these brazenly unPatriotic (TM) youth.

Pretty well written, Nadir. I agree with the old lady who says that "citizen" is the highest office in the land. But what actually changed my mind about supporting the war was learning that you guys had a statue of Bush and pulled it down, just like Huessien. Those two guys really are just alike! We here in the US really are no better off with Bush than Iraqis were with Huessien.

I think it makes sense for you guys to point out that more people support an impeachment for Bush than for Clinton.

However, I think this support for a Bush impeachment relies on some statements that don't fly. Polls show that people oppose Bush using warrentless wiretaps of US citizens... as long as the poll doesn't add the phrase "speaking with people outside of the US whom adminstration officials have identified as possible terrorists."

And polls showing "if Bush lied about the war" will only help if you guys can ever prove that Bush knew that Iraq was free of banned weapons, and that indeed at the time war was announced that there were none.
