Black Jesus Controversy?

Some filmmakers are filming a christ story with black actors. They anticipate "controversy". I doubt it! White christians no longer care. What I find bizarre is that instead of just creating a christ film and casting black actors, these film makers have titled the film, "The Color of Christ." So it is they are are making an issue here. Why not just cast black actors, and then treat the film without making a deal out of the racial composition?
