The New Crusaders

I agree with the assessment that the cartoon crisis is helping stir up anti-Western sentiment in Muslim communities all over the world. It is simply stupid to provoke the Muslim community at a time when the world is in such a volatile state.

The current war between Western nations and Islamic societies is about to come to a head in Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Europe and elsewhere in the world. The non-religious media (including Reformed Leftist's right-wing) seem to believe that stoking these fires is okay. The death and destruction that will result are inconsequential. It's about the principle.

Bullshit. It's about human lives. Diplomacy is always more beneficial than provocation.

Unless you want the war to escalate... I suppose the decade since the end of the last World War (The Cold War) has been a bust for the weapons industry. It's time to crank it up again.

Nadir: Yes, I certainly promote war if that's what it takes to preserve or expand my freedoms. You have yet to address my many attempts to get you to apply this view of yours to such historical situations as American slavery and the civil rights movements.

1. Why do you oppose antagonizing those who would ban us from blaspheming, but you presumably would not oppose the antagonization of those who would ban, say, advocacy of abolition?

2. And you have yet to address my question: why do you not speak out against those "freedom fighters" (as you call them) in Iraq, whose actions cause violence there from US troops? Shouldn't they follow your advice to lay down their arms, zip their lips, and go along with the US plan to install a democracy there?

3. By the way, how about explaining who would be "free" if any one of those "freedom figher" outfits (baathists, al qaidists, shia clerics) wins? (Another of my often asked, unasnwered questions for you.)

4. And finally, another questions you've yet to ask, pertaining to the implications of your view: What if some KKKers start demanding Death to Nadir and Akanke for living in Westland? We both agree that the US still contains some white racists who use violence and destruction to intimidate blacks into staying out of white neighborhoods. Should blacks accede to those demands, because otherwise their actions would "cause" violence and destruction?

5. And now a fresh question. Please explain why you titled this posting "The New Crusaders". If you are labeling me a crusader for freedom, yes I am. But unlike the original Muslim and Christian Crusaders, we "new crusaders" have no intention on forcing our religion onto anybody else. Perhaps your term "new crusader" better befits the muslims nuts... or maybe not. They are simply continuing the old muslim crusade to unify all the lands of a certain region and impose mideavil islam on every soul there.

Please explain how this very articulate platitude would have applied to the actions of:

- Nat Turner
- Frederick Douglas
- Martin King

Nadir, you would have been a marvelous addition to their numbers.

"Bullshit, Nat! It's about human lives. Diplomacy is always more beneficial than provocation."
