I know my view is getting murky; I'm trying to sort it out myself. I hate caving into backwards, intollerant religious nuts, but my hatred for them applies also to christians who demand that that Will and Grace not lampoon christ. I just want to make sure that we are not abiding christian religious intollerance, but taking a stand against it coming from islam.
Don't interpret my new position to mean that I have any sympathy at all for anybody who wants to stop you or me from making loud, boisterous fun of religious symbols, especially if these nuts threaten murder or destruction as the penalty. I just want to ensure that we who consider ourselves to live in free nations first stand up to all tyrants in our midst -- leftists demanding that Dr. Laura get fired, rightist demanding that Bill Mahr get fired -- before we collectively act against muslim tyrants.
