Racism, Not Defence, At the Heart Of Israeli Politics

From whatreallyhappened.com:

One of the justifications given for the attack on Iraq was that Iraq was in defiance of UN Resolutions. In hindsight, it turned out that Iraq was not defying the UN; they had indeed disposed of their banned weapons of mass destruction. Israel, on the other hand, routinely ignores and defies UN Resolutions, some of which are listed here.

By the way, a security council resolution to condemn Israel's latest incursion into the Gaza Strip was blocked by... (SURPRISE!) The United States.

Nadir: Isreal's govt did not agree to these terms, much less agreed to them as a condition for a ceasefire in a war in which it faced invasion. On the other hand, the violated terms cited by Bush in his invasion constituted just such a condition.

I am not surprised that the US blocked a security council condemnation of Isreal's military reaction to having one of its soldiers captured.

Nadir: Where is the evidence that Huesain's govt dismantled his banned weapons, as he agreed as condition of the 1991 cease fire? No such confirmation existed prior to the recent invasion, and lack of weapons after the invasion does not preclude the possibility that in the many months prior to the invasion that he spirited them out of the country.

To cite your view on the Duke rape hoax, "you weren't there." Thus, I am shocked that you have formed an opinion on this matter. Did you see the weapons dismantled? Were all these democrats wrong -- including Gore and Clinton -- when they claimed that such weapons still existed in Iraq as of 2000?
