More Students Refuse to Declare Race on SAT

Tracking SAT scores by race is becoming virtually impossible because so many students now decline to designate a "race" when taking the test.

Uber Tom Ward Connerly led a movement to end racial classification entries on job applications, census forms and college applications with the full support of the right.

I'm sure you are in full agreement with his efforts.

So why are you so concerned about no racial classifications on SAT scores?

Or crime stats?

Or out of wedlock births?

I can't wait to hear your response.

I am not concerned; I am just documenting this development. I have not formed an opinion on it. In some ways I support this development because I do want people judged merely on their performance. However, lack of racial data can make it difficult to identify and address certain problems.
