Mexicans Elect Another Free Marketeer
Mexicans should brace for more immigrants from the south (especially those with leftist govts), even as Mexicans continue immigrating nothward, towards even freer markets.

Mexican stocks increase value in response to smart choice voters. Capital: history's most successful anti-poverty concept.
"Capital: history's most successful anti-poverty concept."
...for the rich. Mexico still has millions of poor people who slave to eke out an existence working for American corporations. Their $5.00 a week jobs are replacing union workers' in the US.
Meanwhile millions of Mexicans will sneak across the border illegally because the $5.00 per day they will make in the US is still a lot better than what they can make south of the border.
Besides... they say the election is too close to call...
Capitalism has lifted more poor people into prosperity than any other concept. The false promise of socialism certainly appeals to many poor people, but it always leads to more poverty.
Mexico has fewer poor people as it becomes more of a democracy, and opens its markets. But of course it still has poor people. It will have even more poor people if the people there vote themselves into the fantasy of socialism.
The people immigrating to the US could choose to improve Mexico further opening their markets, including the privatization of petroleum resources. The flow of immigration is always from less to more free markets.

The recount thus far favors the conservative... thank god. The downside to any election this close is that it's within the margin of error (assuming that the election was fair), and denies the victor a strong popular endorsement. If the free marketeer does win, I hope he can show results sooon enough to convince a bigger fraction of Mexicans that capitalism provides their best answer. With so many Mexicans heading for the US, it would seem that more than a bare majority would support capitalism...
