No Worse than US Fundimentalists
Many of my lefty friends (well, I suppose that all my friends with political views are lefties) have claimed that the mulsim KKKers are "no worse" than US christian fundimentalists; some even claim that the US christian freaks are even *worse* than the islami-KKKers. This article reports that some Samali islamici retards killed two people for watching the world cup soccer game on TV -- a banned activity. I bet those dead muslim soccar fans would have prefered to live under fundimentalist George Bush than under the the Samoli islami-KKKers.

If the US had a lawless society (besides the white house, I mean), Christian fundamentalists would certainly kill women entering an abortion clinic or beat up gays. In Somalia there is no fear of prosecution. That is a big difference.
Additionally, from reading the story, it seems the guys were killed not for watching the game, but for ignoring the order not to watch the game. Another big difference.

Then when it comes to what you imagine US jesus freaks doing if only laws didn't order them not to, here you make no distinction between what you imagine they want to do -- but for which you can find zero documentation -- and their actual conduct. In the US Jesus freaks allegedly *wanting* to kill women who enter abortion clinics but not doing so because the govt would prosecute them, it's all the same to you. But in Samolia, muhammad freaks actually killing somebody *not* for violating a retarded interpretation of the koran, you excuse that -- imagine a "big difference"! -- but rather for violating the order to obey the retarded interpretation.

Nadir, where is there any documentation that any major US jesus freaks advocating killing girls who get abortions? (If you want a distiction, here's one: getting an abortion vs. exposing ankles, watching soccer, flying kites, having consensual sex. At least with an abortion there is some theoretical basis for punishment: fetuses are humans.)
The Quran includes no opposition to football as the game wasn't even invented when the book was written.
The actions of a people in a lawless society will reflect that lawlessness. The Salem witch trials and Bush's "above the law" invasion of Iraq are two examples of Christian extremism that prove this point.
Emmitt Till's murder is a good example of Christian extremism as it was believed that Till even looking at a white woman was a sin against nature. Are you saying this is more acceptable than a man being killed for watching a game?
Christian extremist actions such as working to deny basic human rights like healthcare for homosexuals and the right to privacy for women reflect people working withing the limits of a more lawful society. Those extremists will stretch the rule of law as far as possible.
The fact that the murder of innocent civilians in Palestine or Iraq is more acceptable than the murder of innocent fetuses is a reflection of the immorality and insanity of Christian extremism. It is merely the ability to pay someone else to do the dirty work versus taking that dirty work in your own hands that separates modern Christian extremism from Muslim extremism.
I would argue that urging another to commit the sin is even more dispicable than doing the deed yourself. Christian extremists are no more civilized because they pay poor US soldiers to rape Iraqi women. They are worse than the evil Somali soldier because they don't have the conviction to get blood on their own hands, but are willing to allow our sons and brothers to soil their hands and lose their souls.
In fact, Paul, I would say that YOU are more extremist than that soldier because you advocate and justify the deaths of thousands of innocents so that you can get a better return on your stock portfolio. You are sacrificing innocent lives to the gods of capitalism, and have the nerve to denounce a Somali soldier for shooting one man.
Nadir: I am equating Emmitt Till's execution with that of the execution of the football fans. Both got executed by tyrants, and I oppose them equally. Do you? The KKKers who killed Till executed him for violating their retarded rules, which I suppose I will concede to your charactorization of them as bible-based, and thus an example of retarded christianity. (However, I specifically think the KKK/Confederacy retardation was premised entirely on White Supremacy, not Christianity, and indeed during that time a massive Christian opposition emerged, with loud, violent, and numerous opponents to White Supremacy, all waving the bible much more adamantly than did the confederates. Sadly, we today do not find inter-muslim fighting, with one side using the koran to advocate equality and toleration.)
US christians are not paying US troops to rape Iraqi women! Nadir, sometimes your logic is so bizarre that I don't even know how to address it. Do you think that no Union soldiers or WWII GIs raped any Mississippi or German girls? Might even some of your lauded Castro-nistos have raped some girls along the way?
