Thanks for proving my point, Nadir. Ann Coulter and Pat Robertson are the best examples you can find of Christian nuts, equating them with Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Qaida, Al Sadre brigade, etc. ARE YOU INSANE?
Let's do an experiment: Your dad dressed in drag with a t-shirt proclaiming, "Jesus is a fag," walks through the campus of Jerry Falwell's university. Then send him through Tahran, except the t-shirt simply has a drawing of a bearded man labled, "Mohammad."
Nadir: Do you have a reading comprehension problem? In answer to my challange you have merely demonstrated that there exists extremist, kooky christians, a point never in dispute. But you have not refuted my claim that these christian kooks are very mild and fundementally tamer than the muslim kooks, who qualify for the designation "retarded" and even sociopathic.
If christian kooks have their way, vs if the muslim retards do:
1. Homosexuals
Christ kooks: can't marry, adopt, serve in the military, or teach.
Mohammad retards: executed.
2. Women having extra-marital sex:
CKs: No legal sanction
MRs: Executed.
3. People practicing other religions:
CKs: No legal saction.
MRs: Jailed; if previously practiced islam: execution.
4. Commiting what religious govt officials deem "blasphemy" or "offense":
CKs: No religious govt officials; no legal santion.
MRs: Execution
5. Prayer in govt schools:
CKs: Voluntary, for any religion.
MRs: Mandatory for all students, and only for islam
6. Abortion:
CKs: Illegal; physicians arrested.
MRs: Execution of mom and physician
7. Seperation of church and state:
CKs: Govt officials permitted to display religious symbols... or not.
MRs: Church and state are congruent; they are the same thing
8. Gender equality of rights:
CKs: 100%
MRs: 0%; can't even drive cars or travel via any mechanism without adult male relative; defacto property of husband.
9. Mechanism for achieving these goals:
CKs: Democratic process.
MRs: Violent imposition.
Nadir: Today's Jews want only a democratic Isreal in Palistine which tolerates all religious practices (and none, and anti-religion) but which (unfortunately) affords a special status to Jews; though positive only in comparassion to what the activist Muslims want, their vision is far different and supperior the Isreal that they claim God commanded David to create (by slaughtering every inhabitant) thousands of years ago.
Today's Christians want democracy also, with a few laws such as forbidding anyone to perform an abortion and fags to serve in the military, plus a little formal recognition of christianity (pemitting officials to post religious symbols in public spaces) and permission of prayer in government schools. Jesus was a pascifist who did not impose his religion on others, and he explicitly overturned the old testimate rules.
Meanwhile today's activist muslims want to follow exactly the ways of Mohammad, which included the exectution by beheading of prisoners captured in war ("Who will care for my children?" one Meccan prisoner asked Moh. "Hellfire," he replied before giving the command. "But when we capture your men we do not kill them," said another. "Our way breaks ussunder previous customs," Moh replied before sending him to his maker.)
Besides executing POWs, Mohammad also set by example a standard for initiating a war of conquest: insulting and rejecting Islam, as the Meccans had done in response to 41-year-old Mohammad claiming that he was the new Jesus and that he should take over the local, ancient business of hosting annual pagan pilgrims to a Meccan well (devoted to one pagan god) and rock (devoted to another pagan god) around which thousands of pilgrams encircled. When these Meccan business leaders got mad at Mohammad for these actions, did they attempt to kill him? No. They laughed at these, and ridiculed him for fleeing in battle years earlier when black folks from Ethiopia had invaded, and for earning his wealth by marrying an old widow. For this ridicule, when he conquered Mecca he executed them. One executee was a woman poet who wrote poems ridiculing Moh for his wild claims. Moh's soldier stabbed her to death while she nursed her child.
The muslims who belong to Hamas, Hezbollah, the ruling offices of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc. exalt these actions of Mohammad. These are the defining actions of Mohammad, analagous to Jesus submitting himself for crucifiction and forgiving his crucifiers. Jerry Falwell does not advocate doing to anybody what David did to the original Palistinians. He does not advocate stoning to death your hussie mother for being a hussie. Where are any christians on earth doing or advocating such things? We have many examples of government leaders on earth conducting such evil in the name of Islam.
Read last night the lovely history of Mohammad's relationship with those stinkin' Jews. After getting ridiculed by the poets in Mecca for his fabulous claims, Moh took his 70 follwers 200 miles away to the city that he later renamed to Medina. A bunch of people there joined him, inspired perhaps by the municipal rivalry between Medina and Mecca; these Medinans may have simply enjoyed joining somebody whom the Meccans disliked, and who had vowed to conquer and pillage Mecca. Moh formed these people into band of robbers who highjacked caravans travelling to and from Mecca, stealing fortunes, executing resistors, and enslaving and raping the women.
Moh had high hopes for converting the Jews in Medina, selling himself as their long-awaited messiah, and criticizing the silly Jesus-trinity nonsense. He even adopted into his morphing religion many Jewish customs, such as the Jewish "Day of Attonement", into the grab-bag of pagen rituals that were composing "Islam" (and which still do) and which meant that converting pagans wouldn't have to change much. Some jews did join him (and joined in splitting the spoils of highway robbery), but others clinged to their birth religion. When a Meccan army came to squash this band of highway robbers, Mohammad's band won the battle, and he became the effective ruler of Medina (the name he gave the town, an abreviation for an Arabic term that means, "City of Mohammad").
After executing all the captured Meccan solders, he turned his attention to Jews who had refused to convert, and gave them two choices: Convert to Islam, or accept execution (for men) or slavery (for women). Nine hundred Jewish men refused to convert; Moh ordered the decapitation of them all, and piled their bodies and heads into a big pit, with the non-converting women folk watching. He took one of these women, who had just watched her husband and father beheaded, as a wife/slave.
Later Moh would marry his daughter in law, and a 7-year-old girl whom he waited to deflower until she was 9.
The Koran I've been reading (picking up where I left off a couple of years back) calls this region "Arabia", which I assume offends Nadir. It also contains commands from Moh to "strike terror into the hearts of the non-believers."
What a lovely guy. I'm starting to understand basis for today's Islamic Terror Crusade, including calls to execute anybody who ridicules islam or mohammad.
Curiously, during the first Islamic Crusade, the Islamic invaders demonstrated more mercy and less savagery than the Christian Counter-Crusaders. Famously when the first wave of Christian Counter-Crusaders re-took Jerusulem, they committed horrendous savagery, much worse than that committed by the Islamic Crusading invaders when they took Palistine from the remnants of the Roman Empire. And of course on the trip from Europe these Christian Counter-Crusaders behaved deplorably, doing to at least one group of Jews what Mohammad had done to the Jews of Medina.
When Saladin re-took Jeruselem, he accepted surrender and let the christian europeans leave merely with the promise not to re-attack, setting a wonderous example for conduct in war, an example that Bush would do well to follow, I advise. A very Jesus-like action, I would say, forgiving not just an enemy, but one guilty of unspeakable horrors (horrors that countered Jesus's actions, but not Mohammad's!).
Very paradoxical. But those were a time during Muslim civilization, centuries after Mohammad, apparently run by people who ignored the uncivilized aspects of Islam.

But a few centuries more advanced than demanding her summary execution, along with that of NBC executives... and deadly massive rioting.
You really underestimate the real desires of Christian kooks. The laws of most Western countries prohibit Christians from executing homosexuals and stoning adulterers. This is because of the secular nature of Western culture. If that weren't the case, you would see anyone who broke biblical law dead.
Nadir: On what are you basing your assertion that the USA's christian kooks want to execute fags? None make such claims, and the person upon whom they base their religion never did nor advocated such a thing; he certainly stopped the stoning of a hooker.
And why is it that laws in the USA forbid such a thing? Because 99% of the people here (excluding some fraction of muslims perhaps) do not wish to execute gays. Do you have any quotations of prominent USA christian kooks proclaiming a desire to execute queers? Or do you possess 100% accurate mind-reading capability?
In the countries where lots of muslim retards live, they use violence to impose their will on the populace, a will that includes executing fluzies, fags, and blasphemers, regardless of the govt's law. In some of these countries, the law codifies this backwards, evil, and anti-civilized practice.
And what about all the other differentiations that I made between USA christian kooks and the many muslim retards?
I join you, Nadir, in opposing the Christian Right agenda... at least most of the items on it. However, if they get everything that they want, it won't be super terrible, and certainly not the full scale 100% hell that the the muslim retards want.
