MediaWhoregate: The End Of Much Ado About Nothing

Still waiting for the apologies.

"It now appears that the person most responsible for the end of Ms. Plame’s CIA career is Mr. Wilson. Mr. Wilson chose to go public with an explosive charge, claiming — falsely, as it turned out — that he had debunked reports of Iraqi uranium-shopping in Niger and that his report had circulated to senior administration officials. He ought to have expected that both those officials and journalists such as Mr. Novak would ask why a retired ambassador would have been sent on such a mission and that the answer would point to his wife. He diverted responsibility from himself and his false charges by claiming that President Bush’s closest aides had engaged in an illegal conspiracy. It’s unfortunate that so many people took him seriously."

How long, O Lord, must we wait for Nadir to comment on these FACTS? He posted quite often and quickly and so assuredly about what happened (an outing!) and why (to punish the honest, brave whistle-blower's wife). Among the many clear points of fact that stand ever taller now is the phoney outrage of Joe Wilson, who at the first sign of an "outing" jumped in front of cameras to publicize his wife's name, occuapation, and photograph. Contradictory behavior indeed for a man posing as somebody earnestly concerned about her name, occupation, and photograph being known to the world.

Here's the source commentary, from the Washington Post:

Devistating. Very eager for Nadir's reaction. What does this indicate about Nadir's other declarations based on assumptions, such as Bush "lied" about WMDs (meaning he knew that Iraq lacked weapons banned by the 1992 cease fire)?

The fact that Plame was Wilson's wife was well known. He was an ambassador, a public official. The fact that she was a CIA agent was revealed by Robert Novak.

Her identity was (and still is) being used to defame Wilson's credibility on the yellowcake story. That Iraq tried to buy yellowcake was called a non-story by the British and by Wilson. These are the facts.

What do I have to apologize for? You've presented no evidence to prove I am wrong.
