Dem Control Might Help Economy, WSJ.com Survey Finds

Democrats wins in November might boost the economy, economist in the latest WSJ.com economists survey found.

“The economy is doing very well,” said Allen Sinai of Decision Economics Inc. However, it “would do better if the geopolitical side wasn’t depressing Americans and injecting caution in business sentiment. The psyche of Americans is surprisingly low. New blood can improve sentiment.”
WHAT IS THE BLASPHEMY??? The leading newspaper of capitalism believes that Democratic Party control of at least one house of Congress could boost a Republican economy that they say is "doing very well"?

IDOLATORS!!! If the Republicans are doing such a great job with the economy, why change a good thing?

The comments are even being stacked by THE INFIDELS!

Would do well for the Republicans to win it all once again. They’ve only been in complete power the last 6 years. Who knows, maybe their stated policies of elimination of all social programs may be the best medicine for the persons of this country yet! To show good faith I volunteer that all social security, medicaid, medicare, etc.,etc.,etc., programs be eliminated tomorrow. Of course, since Corporations are considered persons by American law it logically follows that all social programs for them must stop also. Programs such as agricultural subsidies, any and all tariffs. We agreed, remember, no social programs for any persons.

Nadir: I hope you understand that these economists pointedly agree against the demos controlling both houses, which would enable demos to overturn Bush's helpful tax cuts. Demo control of a single house would protect the tax cuts, but might reign in Bush's foriegn policy, which is what troubles these economists. Remember, many of us free marketeers opposed the Iraqi war.

I don't understand how you married that commentary to the second one, about eliminating federal social programs. All of us free marketeers oppose all fedl help for corporations, including ag subsidies and protectionist tariffs. On these issues we oppose Bush, though we don't see how the demos would be any better here.

They do not state that this is the reason they oppose the Dems controlling both houses. They believe there should be diversity in government.

You're spreading disinformation again.

"Remember, many of us free marketeers opposed the Iraqi war."

You were not one of them.

Obviously there are free marketers who approve of subsidies and tariffs, otherwise they wouldn't have been enacted and sustained. I thought the comments were interesting, so I included that one with the post. It demonstrates that there is a great difference of opinion among capitalists about how the country and the economy should be run.
